This I-Kit describes nine-steps for designing, implementing and evaluating an integrated health communication program, drawn from experience in Egypt, Uganda, Ghana and Malawi.
The steps are a flexible guide that should be adapted according to the situation. For example, you may already have communication strategies for individual health issues, but want to integrate them into one coherent program.
In this case, you will not need to conduct formative research or design communication strategies for individual health issues, and can skip those steps. In other instances, you may be embarking on a whole new integrated SBCC project, so will want to begin right at Step 1.
The steps for designing and implementing an integrated SBCC program are similar to those for any single issue campaign. This I-Kit focuses on important considerations for integrated SBCC programs.
