The following illustrative indicators are examples of useful indicators for measuring project implementation and effects.

WRA:

  • % knowing / having heard of ECPs
  • % knowing where to find ECPs
  • % knowing correct time frame
  • % having used ECPs in the past 12 months
  • % finding ECPs affordable
  • % users being counseled on usage by provider or pharmacy staff

Providers:

  • % with accurate knowledge of ECPs, including mechanism of action, effectiveness, mode of administration, and side effects
  • % feeling comfortable administering it
  • % feeling confident about counseling clients
  • Service statistics – number of EC clients counseled and served on a montly basis

Pharmacists

  • % outlets carrying ECPs
  • Number of pharmacists trained
  • % with accurate knowledge of ECPs, including mechanism of action, effectiveness, mode of administration, and side effects
  • % feeling comfortable administering it
  • % feeling confident about counseling clients
  • % serving all clients / not denying services
